Policy Manual

A policy manual is the most important document for Southeast College. It is a written record of all directions approved by Board Members who have a mandate to govern the College. This responsibility to govern Southeast College is carried out through the development of policy, and by ensuring that policies are implemented. Policies are principles which outline a course of action the Board wishes to be implemented in the day to day operations. A policy explains what is to be done and why it is to be done while the accompanying procedures detail how this policy is to be implemented.
Both policies and procedures provide direction to the Director/Principal, who, with staff, must implement Board policy. Policies are the lawful orders of the Board.  All staff members are legally obligated to implement the policies and all directions in them.
To the reader: Southeast College Inc. shall be known as SEC in this policy manual.
